I'm (she?) actually able to eat anything, except shrimp which totally gross me out (I liked them before I was preg). When I was at my Dad's this Christmas (before we told anyone about the baby) he kept asking me to pass him shrimp from the shrimp cocktail platter, and I kept getting up to wash my hands, only to have him ask me to pass him another one when I'd get back to the table! It was soooo funny.
I've been trying to be good about what I'm eating. Cutting down on prepackaged foods if possible, I actually caught myself reading the labels in the store and putting things back. Ugh, why is there sooo much salt in everything!? Never have I spent so much time surfing the edges where all of the fresh foods (especially fruit) are.

A new addition to my yummy list is reduced fat peanut butter and sugar free raspberry jam sandwiches. These are great since Sean has been working nights more often and I need to make sure I get protein. I've started coming home at lunch time and he's been making me a big meal then, so I end up eating in stages at night, usually starting out with a PB&J or scrambled eggs followed by a salad.

Luna bars (but only this flavor) are something I'd eat 24/7 if I could. I think part of it is that I've never been big on sweets but I am now. I joke that its how I know Sean's her dad because he likes sweets and that if I'm not careful she is going to come out with a candy coating. So I get my chocolate fix here, and with the milk of course, which makes me feel slightly less guilty about eating it. This was another food I was eating way too much of and had to cut back on, now I eat 1/2 of one a day...instead of 1/2 a box of them!

Before I was preg I HATED milk. I still don't like the way it looks or feels (must drink it from a plastic cup or mug with a straw) but it tastes REALLY good. However, I will only drink the Horizon Chocolate Milk! We tried other kinds but they weren't the same. I was up to waaaayyy too many cups of it a day so I had to cut back, but I still *WANT* it all the time.

Mmmm nothing says yummy like light yogurt with fresh fruit (in this case extra large black berries)! I had to swap from eating ice-cream and fresh fruit but this is much better all around. I usually eat this for breakfast and sometimes before bed.

My number one craving while pregnant with A.J. is ice water. I can't get enough. I counted one day and I was drinking eight eight oz glasses while at work, that's 1 glass an hour. That didn't include what I drank when I got home. A huge thing for me is that I have stopped drinking cokes (before I even knew I was preg) and tea (even the decaf), and I'm feeling great about that. (Although about once a week I have a lemonade or sprite.)

Good job with your diet, Meg! Aria will be a healthy girl. (This is mom!)
